ABCD for Women in Communities

Our goal is to reach 70% of women in all our programs. Since 2017, we've trained over 1500 women in Rwanda in Asset-based Community Development, with about 50 women led initiatives.

Women are a cornerstone of community development, and their empowerment is crucial for sustainable progress. On the African continent, women often face significant barriers, yet they possess immense resilience and potential. By providing women with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need, we can unlock this potential and drive transformative change. Through Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), we equip women to become solution providers to the challenges they face and key contributors to their communities. Empowering women leads to better education and health outcomes for families, increased economic productivity, and stronger community cohesion. As women gain confidence and agency, they inspire others and create a ripple effect of positive change.
